ARTICLE IN K-PROFI 6/22
Ecology and Economy in Harmony - as exemplified by the SUND Group - is the cover feature in the magazine “K-PROFI“. For the 06/22 issue, the authors spoke with Clemens Eichler, Managing Director of EMIL DEISS KG, and Karen Queitsch, SUND Managing Director for Sustainability and Innovation.
Topic: the self-defined recycling targets of the SUND Group, which aims to use 100 percent sustainable raw materials in the manufacture of its products by 2030. In realising this goal, as Karin Queitsch explains in the article, tests are currently being conducted at the SUND lab on the use of foils made from residual waste.
”Only by utilising the scrap plastic in residual waste can cycles be almost completely closed“, states Eichler in the K-PROFI interview.
Further measures: relocating garbage bag production back to Europe and improvement of the ecobalance through using natural rubber in the producion of disposable gloves. In this way Eichler intends to link ecological and economic interests more strongly together.
